I find that developing the non neutral energy (ie.breathless) is like you
say mind/breathing control however the demons you are talking about is the
negative non-neutral energy which manifests itself, it can take the form of
depression, extreme tiredness, anger, basically the things that blind us
from the so called 'light'.
This negative non-neutral energy can be slowly passed by developing
increased 'as you go' meditational skills which can be gained by simply
harmonising with nature ie trip to woods, stream etc.
By developing this positive non-neutral energy makes us become more
consciuos beings ie.can almost read (even higher level control) weak minds,
see the future (partly to start off with - increased de ja vu experiences),
become extremely fit (without much exercise), require less food/drink etc.
 I think (thinking is knowing) this is the humans hidden sense and I also
think others who are not or not as conscious (or enlightened) can see this
somehow and become jealous because of outside influences. This is where the
the 'ego' comes in.
