These are the five types of the knowledge which are attained by Jaina
achraya or sadhus or monks,
in some texts they are called *kevali*, means like god.
I think any one on spiritual path who is a true aspirant must attain these
knowledges he may belong to any religion, sect or cult. Although
these are according to Jaina treatise, but it is immaterial whether you
belong to any religion I think a person on spiritual path of any religion
must gain these knowledges during the natural course of time. According to
siddha mat there are the
eight siddhis that are to be attained by the yogi during practice of the
kundalini tantra.
1. Mati jnan - sensory knowledge
(intellect reaches
to perfection)
2. Shruta jnan - scriptural knowledge
(knowledge of
scriptures reaches to
perfection)
3. Avadhi jnan - visual knowledge
(visualization of past,
present and
future in a single time)
4. Manahparyaya jnan - mental knowledge
(ability to read
peoples mind)
5. Keval jnan - perfect knowledge
(knowledge and
only knowledge)
soul's true attribute is knowledge.
kevlaya gyaana means enlightment
