Dear Eileen,
Thank you so much. That article is exactly what I have been looking for.
My sister has tried many approaches both conventional medical treatments and alternative approaches. She is currently spending several hours a week in a hyperbolic chamber to force oxygen into all parts of her body. She has only just started this. It is incredibly expensive.
She has gone for short walks at times and has had some improvement. It has been difficult for her to keep it up though due to weather and lack of routine but also due to her lack of energy. (it is winter in Australia now)
What I particularly like about this article though is it's discussion on the attitude towards the body. She is still trying to fix it rather than understanding that it can fix itself under the loving gaze of her consciousness. She is fighting the condition all the way.
I also do some energetic healing with friends and family. Just as the article suggests I think her heart and solar plexus chakra's keep closing down. Each time I move energy into her body the middle is cold and the two ends are hot.
I also think that it's really interesting that the woman in the article went on to teach yoga. So much of my sister's illness reminds me of accounts that I have read on Shamanic initiation illnesses. She is not open to this type of article at the moment though.
If you have any more articles that emphasise this type of holistic approach I would really appreciate knowing about them. I would love to talk about this further, on or off list, if you could spare the time.
I have emailed the article to her and will visit her later today.
Thank you so much,
Warmest regards,
Julie.

>>>Hi Everyone,

>>>I'm usually a lurker, but I thought this might add something to the CFS discussion. It's an good article about using yoga to relieve the symptoms of chronic fatigue. Perhaps it helps the Kindling get moving? Some food for thought.
