Another point on this thread... I've always appreciated my intellect, but I
think it gets over-valued in the business and scientific world. I suppose
this is part and parcel of our modern age, perhaps a rebellion against
ancient superstition. Yet have we swung too far in the direction of the
intellect, denied the power of our intuition and feelings? I've been saying
for a long time that I think a balanced approach is needed. Most of my
highly intellectual friends are a bit neurotic. I used to be myself,
suffering anxiety attacks and the like. As someone once said, the rational
mind is a wonderful tool, but a horrible master.
