Hi Hilary,
Thanks for the info. I'm not really sure what triggered my kundalini. I first became interested in developing myself about a year ago when I had a spontaneous OBE. I have lost interest in out of body things lately and have been more interested in meditation and things like music and poetry. I have also been reading a lot of Osho and using his techniques to try to dorp my ego and increase awareness. I was suprised to have kundalini activate, especially so early on... I always thought of it as something rare... and I am only 19.
A few people have told me to meditate more often to help the process and a few have told me to not meditate anymore. I will take your advice and slow down my meditation. What about food? Should I eat more or less? More often or less often? And water?
Or should I decide all these things by myself? Perhaps I shouldn't be asking so many questions. I am also worried about what comes next, I have heard so many stories about kundalini syndrome. I think I need to develop more courage in myself or perhaps learn to live more in the present.
:)
Thanks to all of you for the help. I'm feeling much more comfortable after reading all these mails.
Tom

>Yeah! :)) The power of the energy can be extremely disconcerting--especially at first. Gradually our bodies seem to "learn" how to manage it. It's a very positive sign that despite the pain you didn't feel afraid.

>The pattern you describe of the circulating energy seems pretty healthy! You might try negotiating with the energy, though, asking it to tone it down a bit. :)) Percyval often suggests concentrating on the chakra above the blockage. This might help in your case, especially if the pain/sensation becomes too intense. You might also try to place your tongue against your palate to better circulate it, if you feel the need.

>It's always wise to medically check out unusual sensations in the heart area, but from your description of the heat, it certainly sounds Kundalini related. I often try to relate to the heat as curative--just as fever is often useful in helping to kill infections and helpful in triggering the body's repair process.
