 Dear Jude et al.,

As I said, it's clear that electro-magnetic fields can have an effect on the
brain, like the brain helmet, power lines, etc. What I question is whether
chi, prana, etc. is essentially electro-magnetic. I went to a T'ai Chi
class the other day, and could distinctly feel the chi between by finger
tips during one of the forms. While nerve impulses are certainly
bio-electric, I doubt that there was sufficient measurable current traveling
between my finger tips to product the effect I was feeling.

Again, this addresses the effects of electro-magnetic radition on humans,
but not the essential nature of the lifeforce energy itself.

A convenient analogy, similar to the one Yogananda used, but it's just that
-- an analogy, not an objective description.

Well, that's the crux of the problem, isn't it? -- mixing realms. People
talk about their OBE's and such (I've had a few myself), but try reading the
license plates on cars in the parking lot next door during an OBE and see if
they match when you're back in your body. If you could do that with a fair
degree of accuracy you'd turn science on its head and become rich and
famous. It's seems like we're at the very beginning of connecting the
spiritual realm and even consciousness itself with the objective physical
world. It pays to proceed cautiously and not jump to premature conclusions.
Otherwise, one loses credibility and comes across as yet another crackpot.
