There's an autoimmune syndrome that affects the
thyroid, pancreas, and adrenals (well, i think it
could affect other endrocrine glands as well...).
There are specific anti-body tests that can be done
for this. The anti-adrenal antibody test for
autoimmune adrenal destruction is one, anti-microsomal
antibody test for autoimmune thyroiditis i think. (Of
course, this is not medical advice...)

I'm not sure if autoimmunity issues are big in the k
population. Do people have much of these sorts of
disorders?

Intuitively it would seem to me that the mind-body
connection could help us heal from these, just as the
mind-body connection, especially in regards to our
reaction to stress, could contribute to their
causation or extent. Of course, the role of a virus is
there, too. But if our resistance is down, seems like
a greater opportunity for a virus to cause greater
damage.
