Subject: [K-list] Is there an atheist on the list?!?
From: J. Bradley
On 2003/04/27 00:22, J. Bradley posted thus to the K-list:
I was talking with my friend earlier this evening about the K energy. She
asked me if it was possible to have a kundalini awakening and be an atheist.
She believes in god, although not as typically defined in organized religion
(more like there's a universal loving -intelligent- consciousness, or
something like that), and she firmly believes the rising energy is an
expression of spiritual awakening. Ergo, in her view, it can't really
happen without a spiritual component.
My personal belief is it's a matter of gene expression -- and once a gene
gets expressed, there's usually no turning it off. I don't think the K
energy requires a belief system to happen, although I suspect having one
will influence the energy's progression. I think this because I don't
really have a belief structure to speak of. Definitely not along the lines
of god or goddess or that sort of thing. I don't mean to offend anyone, and
I'm using I-talk and framing it as my own personal belief, so please let me
be here in this place with my un- or ill-defined beliefs; please don't yell
at me because I don't have your beliefs!
The friend I talk with all the time is my very best friend. We pretty much
agree were soul sisters/mates, or whatever you want to call it. And she
does have somewhat different belief structure, or perhaps a more developed
belief structure, so we tend to do some conversational looping, as it were.
Tonite, when I tried to present my belief that it's a
physical/energy-mediated event, she did her "Oh." thing ... which I found to
be a little dismissive, but that's her and that's ok, too. *laughs*
What I'm curious to know is whether I'm quite alone with my feeling that
this K energy is just a natural part of humans, something that can be
triggered, or not -- something that doesn't require one to be spiritually
inclined for it to happen? As you can probably guess, I'm a big fan of
quantum anything! *laughs* I should probably qualify that I do believe in
what Jung dubbed the collective conscious (or whatever he called it; it's
been years); I believe that what goes around, comes around, I've experienced
the whole action-at-a-distance thing with a particular quantum biofeedback
treatment modality, and I know there's such a thing as precognition,
especially in dreams. I won't go on about how I believe these things work,
however ... just 'cause that'd make this email -way- too long. *grins* (I
also believe we're not alone in the universe, btw....)
Anyways, thanks for any opinions you have on this!
Jude
