True but I use the mind as a tool toward enlightenment. I challenge all. I
challenge my beliefs, my models and even words. I delve deeply breaking
apart my conscious and unconscious assumptions. I don't ask, "What is love?"
with the hope of finding the bottom line truth - there is no bottom line
truth - but to receive feedback that introduces new ideas that challenge old
ideas. To help me let go of belief as all belief binds and limits.
That is why I laugh and celebrate when someone quotes Rumi. I know that the
intellect must be thrown in the mud and I use the intellect to do so. Words
are just symbols but as such they point to deeply held belief. As I chase
the meaning of a word deeper and deeper I run into belief. This allows me to
challenge and let go of the belief until words become empty of meaning and
instead become pointers to experience - knowing the vastness of experience
can never be held in finite words.
