As I said, I don't really like the theory which states that mind has
no place in spirituality, because then, anything whatsoever could
pass for spirituality. Without the mind, and without the clarity of
thought, who can tell?

So, you really believe that experiences of a higher order, as well as
the spiritual progress, should not be accompanied by the clarity of
thought? Well, OK. :)

I was speaking generally - you really shouldn't assume that
everything anyone says is meant for you. However, if you detach
yourself from the entire matter, you will see my logic to be
impeccable. Sat-cit-ananda doesn't mean just ananda and sat. Cit, the
aspect of pure consciousness, is usually forgotten. Also, Patanjali
says that yoga is citta-vrtti-niroddha, cessation of the whirpools of
citta. Also, the other systems too speak of dissolving the samskaras
and vasanas. Obviously, that would have a result of clarity. With a
bit of practice, this clarity can easily be brought down to the
physical plane.

You should understand that, when you have an experience which shows
you that there is no evil, it just means that your consciousness was
lifted to a plane where there indeed is no evil. However, when you
return, you will find yourself on another plane of existence, where
observation will show you that evil here exists. So, you must
acknowledge that the higher planes of existence do not map very well
into the physical reality, and that on some levels of existence evil
exists, while on the others it does not.

:) I thought it was the other way around. ;)
However, I will have to reduce my presence here; I simply can't
manage it all, and most of my writing here is just redundant
repetition of the things I already wrote elsewhere, and explained
them in much more detail than I could possibly manage here.
