:) Yes, I guess that this is what she meant. However, this implies
that evil does objectively exist, and that it is so terrible to her,
that she needs to hide from it and pretend it doesn't happen. I would
say that the thing, which frightens you to such extent, in fact
dominates your existence.

And what you need to hide from, rules you.
I, too, watched the war news carefully, but it didn't disturb me, not
in the expected way; what disturbed me was human stupidity and the
primitive form of their thinking. What disturbs me is that people
seem to elect the worst subhuman scum for their leaders, and those
leaders then nurture the lower, subhuman instincts in their peoples
and lead them like cattle to slaughter. If people were more noble and
Divine, they would not let the spiritual midgets such as Saddam or
Bush order them around, they would elect some spiritual lighthouse
for a leader, as they do in Vatican, for instance, or in Tibet. But
we live in the democracies, where he who licks most ass wins the
elections. While some pretend that evil doesn't exist, the evil
people entertain themselves by destroying the world. In which sandbox
will you stick your heads when they come knocking at your door, eh?

Yeah, right. Try that tactics when you cross the street. Just close
your eyes and pretend they're not there, and nothing bad will happen
to you - after all, what _you_ think is all that matters. :)

Yeah, but this is not a good thing. In fact, this is just another way
of saying that people walk around with their heads up their butts. ;)

Yes, it seems impossible, to some. However, to others it might be the
cornerstone of their reality. That is why the others should beware.
Also, the garden of the world looks like it could use a little
weeding.
And regarding the eternal struggle between good and evil... since I
was last on this list, I wrote three books in Croatian. One of them
is the translation and commentary of Bhagavad-gita, with an extensive
introduction to Mahabharata. I translated it to English, by
dictation, and I'm now correcting the translation. The part that I
managed to finish so far can be read on

The topic of this book is _exactly_ that, which we are here talking
about, and it seems to me that more than a few people might be
interested in this. Enjoy reading. :) And yes, I'm uploading the new
chapters every day or two, as I correct them, so I'll post new
