Hi Belldandy -

Are you new here? I don't recall seeing your name before.

I found your message provocative as well and I'm not at in a premenstrual moment. But it does sound like you've got some issues with "women". What's going on between you and the women in your life?

I would certainly frame this very differently because there does appear to be a huge difference in gendered perception here. As a woman, my experience of my cycles is not that of being "victimized" or somehow overpowered by them (although there were several times as a very young woman that they laid me flat) but rather they are part of the soup that "I" swim in. My sense of self is not solely defined by my sense of will and control over what happens in my body but rather arises from many different interactions.

Is what you said earlier true - that the only cycles you feel are those that you willfully control? I'm sure there are many on this list who might step forward and speak to receptivity and surrender as being key components in spiritual consciousness.
