There's got to be a better word for describing that accepting and merging
feeling than "surrender". I've always had an aversion to the word and its
negative connotations, and now that I've latched onto Campbell again and the
hero archetype, the word seems even more repulsive.

As the Highlander said, "There can be only one". Critics of Hinduism often
refer to it as polytheistic or pantheistic, but most Hindus seem to have
grasped the concept that all the various forms are simply manifestations of
the One. Likewise, many people get stuck on the name Jesus or Allah and
don't see that they are just words, symbols of a common underlying spirit.

Bingo!

Of course every thing in our minds exists only as a concept when we think
about it. So, don't think about it. Experience it directly in a realm
beyond thought. Whenever anyone asks me if I believe in God, I ask them to
define their terms.
>But concept is not the actuality. Any concept we have of God, limits

Is it a conincidence that the initials for belief system are B.S.?
>Concept itself is only a part of the Creator's creation.

How can you talk about belief systems limiting God, then immediately talk
about God as creator? Isn't that also trying to impose concepts,
attributes, and limitations on God? I'm not sure what you're trying to say
here, but I don't think you're going to there thru mere logic and the
rational part of the mind. This just leads one into circles and reductio ad
absurdium.

What is "this"?

All this says is that God cannot be conceptualized. God is not a left-brain
object to be manipulated. Yet it doesn't obviate the possibility of
experiencing the Spirit of God, or ones true nature, thru grace or
meditation techniques.
