Maybe I was a bit instrumental in starting this firestorm,
by saying it was self pity... i dunno... but the irony is that
I just finished an "argument" on another forum that was
strikingly similar. But you aren't doing God or yourself
any big favors by defending "Him" thus.
Pain and anger are the same engine. Just that one is the
suck in (self pity/guilt ) and the other is blow. ( lash out/blame)
The truth is a very stubborn thing .. it has a way of kinda
winning out in the end.. in spite of all our misconceptions.
This OMA, reaction is really so juvenile, and typical, it is
almost comical.. imo. I agree with JR. And I have sons,
22, 18, 14.... who could thrash this kind of intelligence"
and "logic" un-mercifully.. they do it for sport..
( like OMA probably thinks he is? )

That's what makes a forum like this interesting, and valuable.
You don't know where the thread is going to take you. But it's
obvious, to me at least, that you can't separate these issues.
You learn fast too.. that someone else's reaction to what you say
may actually be quite different than you presupposed it would.
... and it still all boils down to personal choices.. no matter how
you shake it. Agency that evil cannot take away.. and good
will not. End of the day: you make your choice. Animals are
different. A dog will sniff everything.. if he can't eat or f*k it,
then piss on it. When we humans do it like that.. it's a serious
compromise... that we will pay dearly for ultimately.
To me that proves there is a God. To an Atheist.. that's a
foolish idea. I'm content.
