I agree this needs to be talked about.. its what is on all
of our minds right now. It's the "subject of the day"
I think the world is poised for an "awakening". If I read the
public "anti-war" sentiment correctly. But I personally can't
comprehend the pacifist politics that I see coming from the
"left." To me it seems terribly disingenuous.
It isn't really anti-war.. but anti-American. Or Pro-Leftist.
We are using the very freedoms that have been fought and
died for historically to express our "dissent".
Are we not putting ourselves in Iraq empathetically? What
happens if democracy sleeps ?-- Tyranny! All it takes for evil
to prevail is for good people to do nothing.
Iraq , and Saddam, are not having a political kundalini
awakening that we should all just leave in the hands of
God/dess.
So..
maybe neither is George Bush, but I don't really think that this
is something the US wants to do, as much as they must! In
spite of the fear, and descent, and even genuine concern.
The best rhetoric I heard this week on this subject was "
Communism has only killed 100,000,000. Let's give it
another chance."
Read "The Liberators" or "To Destroy You Is No Loss."
And then tell me that we should wait until we have a "just
cause" for intervention. I don't think the US is just a self
appointed "Big Brother".. I think we are at the point where
doing nothing is no longer an option. We can't ignore this
until we have 9/11 x 2 anywhere else in the world.
The world is too small now to ignore what is happening on the
other side if it. It does matter. I keep asking my self this
question? Given my own "morality" .. if they had Saddam in
the cross-hairs for me, and all I had to was "pull the
trigger"...
Could I?
Could I personally do it? It would hard for me.. I would have
sweaty palms.. and a soul searching deep remorse.. but I think
that
I could. I would not enjoy it. The world would be a better
place.
Would I take a bullet to save George Bush? No. I would dive
for cover, cuz i'm chickenshit. Would I stand between my own
daughter and all harm? Hell Yes! to the last breath.
ain't no hero
