let's suppose that one is beyond being saved
oneself... would that mean that it would be futile for
that individual to still try to work for the benefit

PS - Oh yeah, about those sentient beings? It's more
Buddhist than K, but I think you know that? But I
didn't sign up for any package deals, strictly a la
carte... Easier to avoid dogma that way.

PPS - And about the rule of thumb - I'm all thumbs,
myself. :)
