Hi Jose, David, others....
I'm a city fan in general. I see them has fascinating conglomerates
of humanity. The same goes for towns and villages. I love them
all!
I spent a season of change in Manhattan.... what is my (LA tainted)
impression?
New York is: Determined young women from Connecticut living in
SoHo lofts wearing black leotards while playing the
cello and/or taking dance classes on NEA grants.
The scary looking, but reformed though guy from Queens
who just wants to get off dope.
The amazing architecture and urban engineering that
many New Yorkers don't know is all around them.
Peace and leaves falling on Strawberry Fields in Central Park.
My friend at Under Acme restaurant and rock 'n roll dive.
Death, life and all that comes in between.
I resent the politicizing of New York. I resent Washington using it as an
arena for international policy.... don't get me started :-[
