Keith,
I was extremely skeptical too, as my own physical experiences were very
subtle. I haven't had extreme visions or hallucinations, but when I
started having spontaneous kriyas I had to acknowledge that _something_
was happening. In fact, it was this acknowledgement that allowed this
something to begin moving through and activating my upper chakras. I
don't claim to have had a full kundalini awakening or whatever, but the
spiritual insights I have gleaned and the moments of bliss and
compassion I have experienced were definitely not initiated by my ego
mind.
