I truly agree with the universal principles that you say

However, for example, if one is a Smartha,
that is, a Brahmin following the Adi Shankara lineage,
he is prohibited from knowing anything about kundalini

He is instructed to proceed directly with inquiry into the Self
And, kundalini is termed simply as the mind creating illusion,
which will disappear into Brahman upon Self-inquiry

But, if one is a Saivaite, he has to follow the kundalini yoga
That is, Siva is the Lord, of Kundalini, the female energy
And, to unite with Siva in the Sahasrara is the goal

And, this is Siva Raja Yoga of Saivism with Raja meaning king or lord
And, one of its many subjects is Raja Yoga, which even many Hindus may not know
Why I am saying all these is because that is how sects are formed
and hostility based on differences originate and disturb social peace
Thus, Raja Yoga and Kundalini Yoga have their roots in ancient Saivism
In the sense that you will find extraordinary spiritual truths and guidance relating to these Yogas in Saivaite scriptures

In Saivism, one has to follow the Spiritual Guru, who has merged into Parasiva,
is ever guiding His disciples by moving through Satchidananda
and who will merge his causal body into Paramesvara at the time of his physically departing from this world

> Why do you raise this question when you are well-versed in Oriental K-yoga ?
Because, I just wanted to know how kundalini yoga formed itself in the West
I think we are in a group to share and know about one another and mutually benefit

For example, some statements in the 'Genesis' of Old Testament seem to me to have kundalini import
I have truly been interested in the common elements of all religions
