Jason, Percyval, Laura, Shelle, Mystress and All,
For the last twenty years I had an executive search business. I've done very well. No staff, no outside office -- just me and the Dalmatians. I was/am well known the IT healthcare and IT consulting markets. Well, two years ago it all started (was that when K started in earnest?). Following the crash of the dot.com's and the excessive IPA debacles, I had major surgery. Almost like yours, Riversoma -- perhaps K has something to do with "balling up" bad feelings and then having them cut out! Then 9/11 hit and the major contracts I worked on collapsed, totally. I limped along knowing full well I was bored, I hated the recruiting business and needed something more creative in my life. But what? Kundalini/God/dess forced the issue with my Skye's death. I found I was on a road I didn't know, with no familiar landmarks -- only faith that I was PUT there for some reason because I wouldn't give way to God/dess.
During the past year/s I've watched SO many people lose their jobs with nothing to go to. I've tried and tried to place people when I know full well there are no jobs available for their skills. What do you say? Well now <EYE> say...LISTEN to your heart. Do what you need to do. Get out of the rut. Percyval said it all in his post. So did Shelle. Find something else!
Re Mystress's comments about self-employment and "professional listening"...Ideally, self-employment is much better with current cash flow! As I believe I've been a pro listener for the last twenty years, yes, people certainly "dump their troubles" to K-enlightened people. Also, K-enlightened people can zero in on issues, or provide certain words at the right time to "allow" people to trust them. Quite frankly, I never knew why I was SO successful as a recruiter until now. Kundalini.
Well folks, here's what I'm doing now. Drum roll....blind cleaning. Y'know? Window blinds? NO cash flow. None. Almost no food. But I'll be damned before I go to work for someone else. I'm selling a watch this week to pay the mortgage and who knows what else. My eBay account is going to grow, wait and see. I'm also selling blinds (to clients) and repairing blinds. Great business once it's rolling, but right now it's like rolling a boulder up Mt. Everest. I am truly relying on my sales skills in person (new thing for me!) which is powered by Shakti, I know. Tonight I'm off to the local wine tasting event to hand out coupons and taste wine -- for FOUR hours! ;-)
Yeah, we're all in this together. But we'll get through it. We won't die. and if we do, so what? Synchronistic things happen as long as we tune into God/dess. How's this one -- the local Sikhs are starting up an organic food coop which puts great food and Horizon products at a much lower price than in the stores. I just received the e-mail this a.m. At a time when I am struggling to pay for food, it's perfect!
BTW, if anyone might be interested in the blind cleaning business, please e-mail me privately. It's a GREAT business opportunity and can possibly provide instant cash. Yes, it's work, but....The company from whom I purchased my machine also sets you up in the blind sales and repair business.
Love to You all,
Hety
