Hi Lavina,

The Winter Solstice is a celebration of the season of Death. It is from
Death that the new life springs. In the ritual, the life of the old year is
brought to rebirth in the new year.

This can also be applied to the individual, not just the entire planet. It
can be a seasonal happening or it can be representative of bringing your old
life into new awareness.

In any case it certainly was a "Rites of Passage" dream. And a beautiful
one! Try looking at your current situation from the mental perspective of
the dream. What needs to change? What needs to stay the same? When you
make a difficult decision, place yourself back in the mental state of that
dream and see how it influences your choice.

The only symbology I can offer, other than what already been suggested is
that the pendulum was a mixture of your Flesh and that of the Earth. A union
of these two brings harmony. A pendulum is a divining tool. Merge your Self
with the Earth and YOU "become" the divining tool.

Sincerely, (heheh, thats from latin. Literally it means "no
wax"...suggesting "no falsehood")
