Subject: [K-list] A Thanksgiving Koan
From: Lbra782595
On 2002/11/26 17:59, Lbra782595 posted thus to the K-list: A monk came to the zen master and asked, "Master, why do we celebrate
Thanksgiving?"
To which the master replied, "It for the remembrance of being grateful for
all that we have received in past year."
And so the monk asked, "I can't remember everything I have received this
year, there were so many things. How can I be thankful for something I can't
remember?"
The master answered, "Then just celebrate Thanksgiving every day in the
coming year."
