Dear Lavinia,

My take on these unpleasant creatures (and I've met a few of them) is that
they are physical manifestations gone public as it were. They are our fears
in concrete form. They often claim lack of gratitude for some reason! LOL!

 Your soul is pure love, of course, as are the souls of us all. And that
includes this fearsome troll, naturally! :)) El Collie once confronted such
a creature. After some terrified moments she realized how very proud he was
of his horrifying aspect. Once she congratulated him on his wonderful
fearsome qualities, he reverted to his aspect of beauty. See.
