There is no reason in the world why you shouldn't charge for a
class. I used to teach Wicca classes and partially supported my
family for several years on the fees. I kept the price low and never
turned anyone away if they coudn't pay.
The class itself cost me a certain amount of money in rent and
materials and it would have been irresponsible to my family to take
food out of their mouths to pay for these things. It was also
important to get paid for my time so that my family was compensated
in some way for my absence on those nights.
What I was teaching was (and still is) readily available in many
books and web sites. If they could afford to pay for a class but
just didn't want to then they were welcome to learn the way I did.
Through research and hard work. I never charged for healings,
readings or circles.
Something I have noticed too is that if a woman charges for spiritual
classes then her motives are questioned. If a man does it then he is
seen as an advanced practitioner. Its a double-standard world.
Teaching is a valuable skill and a wonderful experience. Good luck!
