pure and simple. And the more unjust we perceive the criticism, the more we
should turn introspective to discern its true meaning... up close and
personal.
Remember too that pain and anger are the same engine.. pain is the intake
stroke..sucking it in.. from weakness and/or self-pity.. and anger is the
power stroke from seeming strength and/or pride blowing it off.
The only response that has any future.. any personal growth at all is:
"Thank you Goddess for correcting me". Not thank you Mystress.. either..
i'm sure she would agree... even though some gratitude there would be
fitting sometimes.
God / Goddess worst punishment.. very worst!. is silence..
When he knows we are through listening.. or in love with our own ideas
and only going to injure ourselves worse.. with more pride and "hard
heartedness" He just goes quiet. There is nothing more humbling than
loneliness. Especially spiritual loneliness.
"Draw near unto Me.. and I will draw near unto you." is, i think, the
biblical language
"the unfolding of the mysteries is God's threshing to endure"
.. is my own poetic version... RE: Isaiah 28
All we really want to know is what is God's will for us.?
Isn't it ?A Man at Prayer
God looks on
with loving care:
A searching soul is seeking,
"See? A humble man at prayer
His heavy heart is turned to me.""Ask, Oh man;
Ask what ye will;
Ask to know
how man should live."
"My voice will come,
Though small and still,
What greater gift
can I, God, give?" ~jlb~ 5/23/97
