hi David,

as a possible alternative, have you considered earplugs?... i find Flent's
"Quiet! Please" foam ear plugs to be very effective, and even comfortable
enough to sleep with...

a box of 25 pairs of them was available for $8, including shipping, when i
placed my last order by phone a few months ago...
