Sounds symbolic of third-eye opening or preparing to open. Black is
emptyness, ready to be filled--the color of bridal gowns in some cultures.
Your comment of "having no thoughts of your own" but "having the thoughts of
others" seems to parallel this as well. The third-eye is the seat of the
"siddhis" or psychic powers. ESP, intuition and the like. So you would be
open to the thoughts of others.

Take care and nuture your peace of mind if your third eye should truly open.
Many people strive for this but do not understand it when it happens.
