Define irony...
A new listmember who is obviously biased in favor of the social
personification
of Osho speaks of personal morality and ego,
Just for the record, I didn't say anything about ego. Other people are
bringing up the subject of ego. But, also, just for the record, I have
never made any claim to be of small ego, or without ego. So if you are
trying to be sarcastic on that point, I'm afraid it's lost on me.
lashing out against one of the more
scholarly and well-spoken members of our list
Nice sense of humor.
whose old post from MAY seems to
be getting under the new listmember's skin.
Well, I guess if someone doesn't have a case against me, he can always
drag up something totally irrelevant and try to make an issue of it.
Next time I do a search, though, I'm gonna go back to April.
Reeducation indeed.
Oh...and don't you find the 93 Rolls Royces indicative of something
not-quite-right in Pune?
There is ample evidence to support the allegation that
Osho-the-public-persona
got rich at the expense of the faithful.
Shows how much you know. Osho didn't get rich at all. He didn't own a
dime. Everything was owned by the corporation, and Osho was not a
member of the corporation. Legally, he could have been tossed out on
his buns at any time. He did not own the Rolls Royces. He didn't own
anything. His quarters were quite simple. And he lived a simple
lifestyle. He spoke for a couple of hours every day, and then he stayed
in his rooms for the rest of the time (except for his brief 'drive by's'
at the Ranch). A real party guy!!!
There are numerous accounts of excess,
There are numerous accounts of all kinds of things.
and also of conspiracy among his inner circle to protect that excessive
lifestyle.
What excessive lifestyle? I'm not sure what you mean by excessive. And
what is necessarily 'wrong' with excessive, anyway?
However, I have also found value in Osho-the-philosopher's
teachings,
Osho is not a philosopher.
and I respect his ability to meld East and West into a more
common-sense notion of spirituality.
I hope you can shed that jewel-encrusted crown you're sporting and come
talk to
us local folk without the glitter getting in the way.
Hey, I like my jewel-encrusted crown. And don't concern yourself with
the glitter, it never gets in the way ... well, hardly ever.
