Subject: [K-list] Subjective Ego Defintions

On 2002/09/28 08:26, Lbra782595 posted thus to the K-list: Greetings All,
Sorry to not have been around to jump into this debate as it was really
happening. I've been working out of town and staying at my ashram. But, as
I'm constantly having to remind myself: Each moment is perfect.
This has been a real eye-opener. After reading the entire thread this
morning, I have a few comments of my own for others to pick some holes in:
Ego--sense of self.
Killing the Ego--removing the ego's ability and desire to be CONSTANTLY in
charge of everything. This is relegating the ego to it's proper role in the
psyche. i.e. Transcending the ego.
Satan--The ego completely in control. This means the sense of self is so
strong that the self believes that it is separate from God/dess. The epitome
of Selfishness. No empathy or sympathy.
Armageddon--the battle that takes place between the Mind and the Heart. When
Heart and Mind realize that they are merely aspects of the same entity (self)
and begin to work in Harmony....Mind being the vehicle and Heart being the
driver (neither being superior and both being almost helpless without the
other)....the ego becomes disempowered by the truth of unity. This is
Balance.
Joe Miller and Mystress Angelique have been kind enough to play the roles of
these aspects of the Self for all of our educations. Thank you both.
The ego has a role in "Enlightenment". Buddha shared his knowlege after
reaching his enlightenment. He was able to step in and out of ego at will.
He would step into ego to transmit knowlege to others and then step out to
meditate and reach ultimate peace of mind in Unity with All That Is.
With ego in charge, there can be no enlightened thinking. Without any ego at
all, there can be no sharing of the Wisdom gained by this enlightenment.
All Things Are God/dess,
Peace, Rocks!
