It's times like this that I wish I had more time and
could put my setting for this group on to indivdual

such great sense and so many mentaly awakening ones as

First, I say THANK YOU to Hilary and Holly, well and
EVERYONE else too for answering so much for me!
(((hugs))) I know I have a lonnnnng way more to go,
but it seems I am at elast more sure I am on the right
track. :)
A lot of you are making points about "ego" and you
know you really made me think about it and realize
that most of my problems with my "tuning in" that I
have really are based on my ego.
I mean, I am very into justice and equality and
balance. I have always been one to fight against
wrongs or try to save the weak from the bullies, ever
since I was very little. So, it seems that maybe not
only is this the reason I "tune in" to the kinds of
things I do, but even moreso why I want to DO
something about what I tune in to.
It is the "Save the world" or rather "Save Humanity
from itself!" thing, Which, at first we think of as
unselfish, the typical HERO'S response to the
percieved Wrongness in the hero's environment. But
really, it is still an ego response on some level, is
it not?
I am meaning here, it's sort of vain in a way, right?
Like I find myself answering my own question "what am
I to do?" with "You can't do anything." And then it is
this feeling of NO Control that results. This has to
be connected to my ego as it is with all Hero
mentalities, right?
Just what came to me after what all I read of your
posts.

But this leads me to wonder still...
If I am to really COMEPLETELY let go of the "EGO"
and all it's entrapments, then what am I left with
that make me "ME?" or Better yet, what am I left with
that make me "Human?" Is it not our ego that has us to
feel drawn to one set of things over another or has us
respond to things differently?
Some are prone to run from taking a stand against
oppressors, for example, while others will do whatever
they can to fight oppression even when it means they
lose all that matters to human beings in life. It is
seeming that maybe we NEED to have at least some sense
of EGO to be able to connect, protect, reflect on a
HUMAN level within and with out ourselves.
Which, btw, leads me to a point I want to make about
what someone here posted regarding the differences
between the MAJOR "HERO" figures, like Jesus, Ghandi,
etc.,

response
it is YES, yes they are all ALIKE, they may not have
Looked the same on the outside, but for want of a
better expression, they all had at their core, the
same "make up" they had the common "IT" thing within
them that made them all "Tick." Or to put it another
way, they ALL were a certain "TYPE of human being."
Yet, as you point out, they were still not the SAME
human being they were each a different incarnation of
different human beings which lived at different times.
At least that is how it seems.
Of course, when we are dealing with energy or as some
prefer, "spirit" it does not really have to be
contained within only one entity or human shell at one
time, right? So, in a way, all HEROS or "hero types"
are JEsus within and Buddah, and Martin Luther King
JR. and ALL the other Heroes, past, present, and
future, for that matter.
I know that was a whole lot for 2 cents worth, huh?
lol!
But, there it is.
