Welcome! From what you described it sounds to me like you're initiating out of body experiences. Many people who've written books about the subject describe different noises that grow louder in volume and higher in pitch just before breaking free from the physical body.
Personally, I experience the floating sensation and various noises, sometimes sounding like a high-pitched drill. However, lately I've experienced a sort of "whooshing" because I'm more aware -- and much calmer! -- about what's happening.
My advice is to just go with it. Perhaps purchase a few books (Buhlman, Peterson, Monroe, Bruce) on out of body experiences too -- and enjoy! In fact, I'll forward a newsletter I receive from Wm. Buhlman to your e-mail address.
Love,
Hety
When I meditate, and at times when I am falling asleep, I get images
in my
mind followed by a floating feeling which is then followed by a
rushing
wind-like noise in my ears. This rises in pitch and volume (I'm
usually
trembling at this stage) until I inevitably come out of the trance,
scared. spam deletedPZMC/kTmEAA/MVfIAA/AtTslB/TM
