yes I agree with that too and I was thinking the same thing, I like your use
of the word "strict" because that's an important point to get across, we get
guidance from everything, but "strict" guidance would mean we weren't cross
referencing everything with our heart/inner guidance, and thus, how could we
possibly be guided? We have to assimilate outside guidance by cross
referencing it with our inner compass, otherwise, we're only taking things at
face value, making a rigid intellectual idea of what they mean, and following
in step to that idea, with no heart at all! >> For Kundalini development the ancient texts take great care to warn that

I don't like scare tactics either because I believe they reinforce the idea
that some things are not meant to happen, that we are victims of a malevolant
circumstance, if someone is going to just burst into flames, especially with
no prior kundalini knowledge at all, I think there is very little we could of
done, or even wanted to do for them, there is a reason for everything isn't
there? It's just the age old, very primal instinctual fear of death, I think
we can have enough common sense to "have the courage to fight the battles we
can win, the patience to accept the ones we cannot, and the wisdom to know
the difference"
