I experienced myself thrust into THAT VERY PLACE which
you described (the fuzziness of coming into focus in
the Now), and which, minus the visuals of course
(assuming for a moment that the data from out very
physical eyes alone are not "visuals" on one level or
another!), seems to be very analogous to the
DMT-hyperspace which McKenna describes so lucidly in
that last piece. wow, and here I sit, typing this
sentence... ummm.... ok, wow, this is harder than I
thought... you just flow with it, but don't let
yourself get carried away by/with it... reality opens
up around you like a kaliedoscope... for the record I
have never done DMT, but keep in mind that the human
brain manufactures tryptamine, it's what makes us
dream! ok, I'm trying to piece something together from
incomplete/sketchy info here, has anyone here studied
much into the neurochemistry of K? I read a bit about
it last winter in a book, and one piece in there said
something about harmine and harmaline (other
psychedelic plant-based indole alkaloids) being
directly analogous to other brain chemicals, namely
melatonin (I think), which is the main pineal hormone.
The pineal gland, as most probably know, has always
been connected and associated with the ajna chakra,
the third eye. And from what little I've researched
on this, the neurochemical action of K has been linked
specifically with the melatonin production of the
brain. Pot, incidentally, stimulates *massive*
melatonin production, which accounts for so many of
its positive benefits; again, for the record, I can
only smoke pot on occasion, it affects me SO
intensely. It literally takes me straight into the
heart of a personal version of the "timewave
zero"/'fuzziness' phenomenon, and often I don't even
need chemicals to get there, life itself often just
thrusts me into the midst of it; an intense
conversation, extremely elaborate synchronicity,
music, laying in the grass and looking up at the
stars... all take me straight to this slow-motion
place where past-present-future all coincide, where I
can never really be sure if I am awake or dreaming,
alive or dead, being born or dying, or just simply
"being here", lol. All of the above. Turiya, I
guess, I dunno *shrugs* But here's the kicker:
MELATONIN METABOLIZES DIRECTLY INTO DMT!! So in
regards to K, anything that stimulates what we'd call
a 'K-surge' basically is stimulating highly increased
amounts of melatonin production from the pineal gland
(ajna chakra), which in turn metabolizes into DMT,
which... I dunno, takes into DMT-hyperspace... opens
the doors of perception... lets the Serpent pop
through the roof of our cranium and look around a
bit... puts us to sleep/kills us/makes us dream/you
name it... ?!?!

combined with my own, is that K and related or
parallel phenomenon are indeed consciousness-related,
and are also indeed biochemical in nature; the next
frontier (I think) will be to explore the subtle
interrelationship between neurochemistry and
consciousness, matter and spirit, essentially, but in
a manner balanced with scientific rigor as opposed to
being fraught with new-age wackiness and
pseudo-scientific speculation, as has often been the
case in the past. And again, since we're dealing with
brain chemistry, and since there are such factors as
particle-spin and quantum nonlocality/tunneling when
we start looking deep into the action of the human
brain, physics is another area that gets drawn into
this, as more and more of the theoretical physics
becomes applied physics, the theoretical frontiers
likewise will, I'm guessing, continue to be pushed
ever outward/inward.
but yeah, sorry for so much loopy rambling, but check
into Timewave Zero, we can approach or enter it
personally, and I believe more and more people are
beginning to do so; the 2012 projection
(coincidentally synching up with both the Mayan
Calendar's "end of history" date AND the projected
astronomical year for the age-shift in the precession
of the equinoxes: last year of Pisces, first year of
Aquarius), I believe, is when the critical-mass point
of the next paradigm-shift in consciousness will
occur, and we'll ALL be collectively thrust into the
fuzzy shiftiness of Timewave Zero whether we're ready
or not... imagine, though, what that would be like for
people who aren't ready for it? total insanity and
chaos, as the values and consciousness of the entire
globe go through a massive pole-shift... now fit the
apocalyptic prophecy of Christianity and the book of
Revelation into this framework, and suddenly it all
makes a lot more sense, suddenly the beauty and
madness and irresistable pull of the Singularity, the
Eschaton, makes a lot more sense....
for physics buffs: what would physical and perception
be like if we were INSIDE an event-horizin of a black
hole, nearing Singularity.... could we ever
technically "get there"...?!?
