My thoughts are that while we are unconscious/unawakened we have no free
will being driven by conditioning karma and life situations.
Being in illusion we think we are acting according to our own independent
choice and have free will in everything. Truth is that we are ego driven and
living in fear of the "other".
A state of seperation exists only in this illusion that we are other than
one.
However as we begin to come out of the unconscious state of ignorance a
true choice to my mind is complete acceptance of "what is" the "Now" in
other words we can choose "God" Being or ego. The two "beliefs" can not co
exist according to the C of M but the Holy Spirit (kundalini) will free you
from illusion in "time". A holy instant.
I like Eckhart Tolle who does say that ultimately you have no free will but
it is not helpfull to believe that or you could sit at home watching tv with
a can of beer waiting for enlightenment. Its a miss quote but essentially we
are not the doer Life/Being just flows through us.
I cant do Eckhart justice and sugest you get his book "The Power of Now"
