them. Since the gods and demons had no more homes in the external
world, they were forced to take refuge in the only place they could
exist, inside each individual, in the subconscious -- from where
they then reasserted themselves in the form of all types of neuroses.

Modern man has repressed his instincts and swung completely over to
the intellect. Science has investigated the microscopic to deeper
and deeper levels, and has found, cells, molecules, atoms, subatomic
particles, and quarks. The deeper it goes, the more questions are
raised, and the more bizarre and ambiguous things appear – the
Heisenberg Uncertainty principle, the wave / particle duality. The
same is true of the macroscopic realm. Because of the inverse
square law that governs the propagation of energy, the further out
one looks in space, the less clear things are. What are quasars,
dark matter, black holes, etc. truly like? What is needed is a
balance, a middle ground that accepts, acknowledges, and seeks to
understand both – the objective and the subjective.

We should seek to know more about OBE's than purely objective
facts like what area of the brain they come from. We should also
ask, what was the experience like for the subject? What is the
nature of the consciousness separated from the physical body? What
is this realm of dreams?Peace and Love,
