I didn't mean to pretend to care about every*thing* equally.

I mean Caring without an object.
(or Loving)
The difference between one who cares
about their bank account, lover or child

   ...and someone who is caring.

I think it's somewhat profound
that when we look deeply
at the *stuff* or conditions we love,
are concerned about or attached to,
we can always trace back
that energy to some imaginary self.

We are never really selfless.
That's fine.

I just find it peculiar
that we expend so much energy
into something that is essentially
unreal.

>From an energy perspective
it's highly inefficient.

It's why everything of the world dies
and is never eternal like Energy Itself...

To watch this cycle of investment
with as much honesty
as we are willing to offer
and trace it's strings back to the root of it
to the imagined self
we are so willing to serve,

seems to have a transforming and transcendental effect.
But I'm not sure, what do you see?
