I totally agree and have noticed that my intuition guides me to what is best for me and when I ignore it I get feelings that I have betrayed myself almost. I think it's best not to take others advice because only you know what you need.

Inner Guides perhaps mean different things to different people. For me it's intuition, synchronicity and surrender - allowing what happens to happen however horrific it may be at the time, and trusting it's part of a overplan that will make sense in hindsight - it always has to date!
In my experience the more I trust to these things, the stronger they get in terms of steering and guiding me.
During rough patches I may seek temporary outside support, but even then it can be dodgy. Recently I had to sack a homopathist because this person was starting to project onto me - and this was someone with decades of experience who is a trainer and represents a governing body!
OK use support if required but never never allow that 'support' to supplant your own 'inner knowing'.
