This is very interesting. As I recall (as I'm recalling lots of things from reading everyone's experiences) as a young girl I had a problem with my toes really really burning. At one point I imagined I had gout! LOL! Many times the pain happened at night. One thing I didn't include in my original post was what happened while sitting here at the computer the other day. I was typing and all of a sudden, energy shot up my left leg and "exploded?" in what I perceived as a ball underneath the skin in my thigh. I shreiked and even jumped in the air. One of my Dals was so startled she ran out of the room.
I agree with you, Hillary, we really have no use for fear during the K process and afterwards. I'm sorry if I came across totally seriously about the "death be to one open chakra" statement. I was actually writing that in a mildly sarcastic way. Certainly, I'm not fearing death. However, there are statements made in books and by others that have no relevance to any single person's personal experience of K awakening. Perhaps it can be likened to how medical doctors treat everyone according to "regional norms" or managed care protocols, throwing individual experience out the window. However, based on what you wrote, perhaps my energy is moving up the body in stages and next I can look forward to pelvic pain....;-) Lee Sannella's book is probably next on my list!
Love,
Hety
As for foot pain, Lee Sannella seems to have been particularly interested in
toe/leg symptoms. Of 17 case histories he writes about, 12 mention leg or
toe pain or burning. (I suspect he specifically asked his patients about
this.) This pattern would correspond with Bentov's experiments. He writes,
"When the sensory cortex is stimulated electrically or mechanically,
paresthesias occur in the area of the body corresponding to certain points on
the cortex...As the roof of the lateral ventricles vibrates, it stimulates
first the toes, then the ankles, then the calves and thighs, and, as the
stimulus rounds the corner of the hemisphere, the pelvis is stimulated. As
the stimulus spreads along the cortex, it will affect the trunk, moving along
the spine toward the head." p. 139 Kundalini Experience.
