Joe,

Thank you for your response. Some additional ideas regarding my question
are as follows:

1a. Medical symptoms will react and be cured within reasonable timescales
to normal treatment. Kundalini symptoms cannot be "cured" by medication,
and medication may inflame the symptoms (since the purpose of Kundalini
symptoms is to cleanse the body, mind, etc, ready for the progress of
Kundalini. Note that modern medication in general is not "natural" and is
generally regarded as an impurity by the body, mind, etc. Not so for
Ayurvedic medicine).

1b. Medical symptoms are usually localised and well defined within the body
or mind. Kundalini symptoms are diverse and overlapping.

2a. Possession in general will not result in the progressive development of
symptoms. Kundalini symptoms develop steadily over weeks and months.

2b. Possession in general (but there are notable exceptions) requires one
to consciously open up to the possession. Kundalini

However, there may be more attributes which would be useful to know for a
relative quick decision since the above two points invariably require some
time to arrive at a conclusion. This reminds me of the phrase "Time heals
all wounds".
