Have you thought about working with a transpersonal psychotherapist? This
is what the work is about. When the dark is brought into consciousness, it
can be transformed, a bit like an alchemical process. Sometimes acceptance
is all it takes. Otherwise, one 'acts out' and 'projects' unconsciously.
Some say knowledge is power, I believe awareness is power. You have choices
then about how to behave and think.

Alternatively you can try something like the Inner Guide meditation. It's
based on Jungian psychoanalysis, and the point of it is to meet the
archetypes, or cosmic forces that are operating through you. These are
different for everyone. I've done it based on the energies in my horoscope.
Often these energies are in conflict, and that can cause great difficulties.
The Inner Guide acts as a mediator between you and these energies so that
you can come to a resolution about how to work with them to manifest the
energies in the best way. It can be quite confronting, but it's highly
rewarding. You can also use your Inner Guide to seek advice. He or she is
unique to you, and his or her concern is your spiritual evolution. I find
it helpful to personify the forces, as it helps me engage with them in a way
that I know. You also have an animal guide which looks out for your
well-being. For example, my guide is a Gnostic monk from the 12th century
called Melkum, my animal is an eagle called Patrick, and my Sun figure's
name is Melchizedek - he usually shows up in the form of Pan.
