Greeting Everone.

My first Kundalini experience was 18 years ago. It wasn't untill 6 years ago that I truly realized what had happened. I found a book at the libary called "A further shore" (something like that). It is the story of a medical Doctor who had a Near Death Experience that caused (or allowed) her Kundalini to be activated. When I read the description of her experience I was stunned. I had finally found out what had happened to me. Not the Near Death Experience but the power surge up the spine.

My awakening was intense and powerful. Until reading some of the letters in this e-group I didn't understand why I had expereienced muscle spasams all night long then my body did about 2 hours of yoga. I know realize that muscle spasms and doing spontaneous yoga are normal when the kundalini is awakening.

 The awakening of my K took place in the quiet and private space of my bedroom. Unlike my heart opening which took place in the meditation room of a wonderful new age book store I was in 8 years ago. The K energy went up from my sacrum to my heart centers where I felt the energy opening and expanded my heart centers (it felt like 2 centers were involved). It truly felt as if every ounce of love that has every been experienced or every will be experienced flowed through my heart out to the world. I physically felt my heart centers expanding and contracting with the flow. I didn't know what was happening I just knew that is felt good. My heart centers stayed open most of the day. What a wonderous experience that was.

My heart opening took place a couple of years before I realied that my kundalini had awakened and that this latest opening was just part of the process. I am sure you can all relate to the fact that I didn't tell anyone what had happened. So for me to have discovered this site and to read how open everyone is about their Kundalini experience is a breath of fresh air for me.
