An interesting topic. I also have noticed that K awakenings seem to be associated with events that are other than just personal.

Then there is the whole New Age take on this which would be yes, we are living in a very special time, all these (take your pick) planetary convergences, Galactic Central Waves of Attunement, Arcturian activities, etc. are awakening and enlightening the planet earth ...all this, in my opinion, is fine as long as people conciously use these sorts of beliefs as *tools* to access their innermost Self (or whatever you want to call the...um Nameless) and don't take them seriously enough to become fundamentalists, selling their houses and waiting on mountain tops for the big UFO to come take them away, etc.
