Subject: [K-list] Kriyas and Spasms
From: mundaneyogi
On 2002/09/01 07:30, mundaneyogi posted thus to the K-list: A few weeks ago, I was having trouble sleeping, especially after
meditating. Sometimes it would be muscle aches in my legs, and
other times I would just sit bolt upright in bed and assume a
partial lotus position. Then I realized I had been neglecting to do
a pre-meditation asana/procedure called Maha Mudra. So, I included
that in my next meditation and have been sleeping soundly ever since.
So my point is this, maybe Kriyas (spontaneous yoga asanas) and
spasms associated with K. may be a sign that one needs to do some
Hatha Yoga. Going out on a bit of a limb, maybe people that have
Kriyas were Hatha Yoga adepts in previous incarnations. In any
event, has anyone who experiences Kriyas tried Hatha Yoga asanas,
especially ones that closely resemble the spontaneous ones? If so,
did it help?
Peace and Love,
Ken
