Very interesting analogy.. since I work in this field.. and am familiar
with the process.
Refining impure gold to pure gold is not very difficult. It really is
mostly just a method of separation due to its stable inert nature ... the
challenge is finding the Gold in this impure state.
But with the soul its really more like this analogy:
Alchemy
In the furnace of affliction
In the crucible of life.
In the heat of contradiction
Up against the flux of strife.
In the temperature's refining
The reduction of the dross
These reactions are defining
What's impure will be a loss.
How often "through the fire"?
How hot and stand the strain?
Then acid test of pure desire
Will define the loss or gain.
True metal, in confusion
Basic elements arranged
The refiner starts the fusion,
If to Gold the base is changed.
Seven times into the furnace?
Melt to crystal heat the Earth ?
Stay untouched in acid earnest ?
Brought forth Golden in rebirth?
