That definitely strikes a chord with my personal experiences. During
several distinct occasions in my life, when in proximity to my Yoga
Teacher, I have felt intense (almost palpable) peace. In three notable
instances I experienced Chakra cleansing, which felt like a
scratching/shimmering/tingling at the Ajna Chakra (1 time) and Anahata
Chakra (2 times). In a separate incident, as I was seated with my Yoga
Teacher's Teacher, I felt a searing arc through my body, as if it was the
force-field of his aura that had intersected with my physical body.

These experiences were not "expectational" on my part since I had no idea
about such activities at that time (mid 1980s). Similarly, I postulate
that my Yoga Teacher was probably not conscious of his own effect on me,
although these events are natural and automatic.
