Thank-you for taking the time to compose such an informative and
well-written reply.

Ya, bad choice of words on my part.

Yoga had the opposite effect on me. I was into a kind of "roll your
own" Shamanism when I had these weird experiences. Yoga
straightened me out. I left the spiritual path for over 20 years
more out of apathy than anything else. I figured, well, I don't
feel psychotic anymore, so why bother.

That pretty much sums up my third marriage.

I doubled my salary every year for four years straight at one point.

Ya, maybe that's what's really going on. Once I get the heart to
open up, K. really takes off.

I gave-up trying psychic powers for many years after experiences
like the one I described. Since I started doing yoga again, a lot
of repressed memories like that have been bubbling up from the
subconscious. Also, the dividing line between dreams and waking
consciousness seems to be breaking down. When I meditate in the
morning I can remember my dreams clearly. It's all starting to feel
like one continuous stream of consciousness.
Although I have steadfastly refused to try to use any psychic
powers, maybe that's selfish. As I mentioned in a previous post, a
couple of weeks ago my girlfriend had a bad toothache. Since I just
finished meditating and was feeling K. pretty strongly, I rubbed her
cheek while focusing the energy in my hand. The pain subsided
enough so she could go to sleep, and the next morning it was
completely gone. I suppose that qualifies as a minor miracle,
certainly more than making a friend bounce up and down in his seat.
Peace and Love,
Ken
