** Or maybe it demonstrates a natural human quality. I've read a
** lot of arguments here on this list just in the 2 days I've been
** a member. I find it strange, and intriguing, that there are
** people on this sort of list who still view the world through
** peep-holes. With all of us searching for enlightenment and
** wisdom, it seems that we would have figured out by now that no
** single person experiences life or spirituality in the same way.
** I suppose if I could make one wish, I would wish for absolute
** tolerance and understanding. Of course, I am in just as much
** need of that as everyone else. I sometimes feel as if we're
** all incubating within a regenerating shell that we try to break
** free from. I think many of you here have had great success in
** chipping away at that shell. I wonder, though, if we're meant
** to break away from it completely. Should we really try to
** completely destroy our true nature as humans? Isn't that like
** trying to teach an eagle to swim? Perhaps part of the secret,
** part of what we're missing, is to accept our true nature. I'm
** not saying we shouldn't strive to reach beyond what we've been
** taught is our boundaries. I'm just saying that instead of
** trying to completely break free of our humanity, maybe we
** should use that as our foundation and build from it. It just
** seems like a frustrating and perhaps futile effort otherwise.
** I'll admit that I know very little about Kundalini and many
** of the other deep philisophical discussions here. Hopefully
** I'll learn a great deal from everyone by being a small part
** of this group. One of my deepest beliefs is that we all have
** something we can learn from each other, even those we disagree
** with. I am very much an apprentice here so I could be
** completely wrong in my theory. But I speak from my intuition
** and empathic center. And as many of us believe, including me,
** we each have to choose the path that is the most true for us
** individually.
** Good grief. I took a completely different turn in my reply
** than I meant to. Ah, well, I guess my heart had something it
** wanted to say. =) I meant to talk about how part of our
** nature is our resistance to change, but ended up taking a
** broader view of the topic.
