I have done that, but the sadness snowballs and I become depressed.
So, to snap myself out of the depression I revert to getting angry
at them. It seems more active and energetic. Laughter seems to
work best. I can feel their confussion at my reaction. It seems to
make them think. You do have a point however. While I'm laughing
to avoid getting mad, I should retain a certain amount of empathy
for their condition, the suffering that caused their hostile driving
habits.

See? When you get sad it just precipitates a veritable avalanche of
sad thought about the world and the human condition. >>
Sadness is usually easier to release than anger, for myself. Yes, I certainly
see how it snow balls, anger can do that as well though. This makes me think
that what ever it is that we are feeling comes back to us-like a thought that
we are having will come back, either positive or negative.

I suppose there is a certain trajectory to things-you start to feel angry for
a single moment, you see that spark of a flame. Maybe like a seed the energy
grows when it comes back to you, and then its time to pull the weed, or feed
the fire.

Another thing to consider in these kinds of situations is blame. Its hard to
blame those who aren't as aware of how damaging their actions are to them
selves and others. Growing up in a city, you get used to being cut off, you
get used to having to deal with aggressive drivers. Some people feel they
have to compeate-this feeling is natural of course, instincts, we compete for
our territory still, even though things have changed so much. I guess we have
a hard time letting go sometimes. When everyone drives aggressively, it
becomes hard to see why one shouldn't be different.

I do like to believe that if you have it in your heart to look at things
differently-more positively, then you will find a way.

Don't worry about thanking me-I am learning too :D
