The best advice I can possibly give you, from a former Center City Philadelphia-ite who used to curse every single person with a NJ license plate is -- c'mon out HERE and drive in New Mexico for a while! Then go home and thank goodness for all of your fellow Bostonians. There's really nothing like doing 75 down a major highway and a "local" pulls out doing 35 -- just to get your goat? Sometimes literally? NM has the highest rate of DWI's and deaths on the highway due to drunk driving - in the US...and most don't have insurance, sometimes not even a license plate. Forget turn signals (what are they?). Mufflers? Just use earplugs. And talk about road-rage...I'm a blond woman and I fear for my life at times. You see, it's not macho to let a woman pass you out here, so you need to do everything possible to not let that happen, even if it means causing a death. I'm not kidding!

Well, I hope at least you laughed a bit. But seriously, I don't know what you can do other than play audio tapes of interesting subjects and ignore the drivers (which is what I do in a way), or play games. A good game would be to hold up four fingers (a la Dyer) at someone who is driving-impaired and give them just the biggest smile in the world. The four fingers mean YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT THAT! Have your own private laugh and send them love. Just remember it's FOUR fingers!

can get by and cut you off.

Anyone have any suggestions about this? I find it difficult to feel
my love expand to encompass the drivers here. I feel more like
screaming, "You f&#^ing a&&hole"!
