On 2002/08/14 08:59, Meredith, Justin posted thus to the K-list: thanks. i know they are not triggered by food as they are fairly constant,
fluctuating in intensity. what really hightens the experience is flourescent
lights and tvs and monitors. the only thing that dulls them it seems is
coloured lenses.
i'm sure it has a lot to do with kundalini. the brain is the hub of the
nervous system and i think it is all tied in together somehow. if it is
possible for an individual to get passed the intensity / pain of the
experience a lot can be learned from it. after all - your senses of sight,
hearing and even smell are increased which can be seen from a positive point
of view if you have a desire to learn more about the experience and
experience more of reality. another positive is that creativity seems to be
hightened as well - or more like creative inspiration.-----Original Message-----

Dear Justin,
I used to get migraines too, but haven't had one in
over 20 years.
Most of them were caused by food alergies, and so I avoid the
following:
o mayonaise or sour cream that's a little "off"
o sauerkraut
o MSG
Interestingly, I have evolved to become less sensitive to those
foods now. So, it appears that Kundalini energy has made some
changes to my nervous system -- strengthened it over time.
I know everyone's migraines are not food related, but
it's something
to check.

I got similar symptoms during a migraine. Ringing in the ears,
jagged bands of "electrical" light, nausea, pressure
and pain on one
side of my head (the opposite side to the side on which
the other
symptoms were occurring). It felt awful, like a
thunderstorm in
my brain.
Oddly, you don't mention how this felt to you? Was it painful,
scary, blissful, or what?

Clearly it has nothing to do with the ears. I also
sometimes hear
a sound like a tuneing fork (seems to be a 440 hertz A) when K.
energy rises. It's pleasant.

Where did you get this technique? Is it a home brew?
When I was
younger, I tried self-hypnosis and a some other stuff I sort of
invented myself. It led to some pretty unpleasant
experiences. I
recommend you follow some tried and true system. I do
Kriya yoga.
There are other systems that work well too.

Sounds like you have encountered entities from the
astral plane.
I've seen a few myself. Some people are into this, and
know which
ones they can play with, and which ones they should avoid.
Personally, I don't mess with them.

Sounds like the blind spots I used to get during
migraines. Absence
of light doesn't sounds very good either.

Television works via a process known as a raster scan.
The image is
projected one dot at a time, and one line at a time,
from top to
bottom. It happens so quickly that the brain can't
detect it. Each
electron only holds the characteristics necessary to
reproduce one
dot (or pixel) on the screen; they don't each contain the whole
image.

You sound fairly lucid, not crazy. You also sound
intelligent and
creative. Many of us have seen astral beings too.
However, some of
the conclusions you posit, based on your observations, seem
premature.
To reiterate, I would first look for physical causes
(such as food allergies, excess stress, etc.) if you are indeed
having migraines. I would also look for an established
metaphysical
system that appeals to you (yoga, zen, tanra, etc.).
Keep talking
to others whom you trust about these events too.
With Peace and Love,
Ken
